Now you can fetch AOL mails from Gmail mail fetcher.

I just tried this and it worked. It was getting frustrating to login into multiple mail accounts. I have gmail, yahoo and aol that I use most often. I knew that AOL only has IMAP support and Yahoo has no support to pull e-mails from free accounts. Opening a mail client like Apple Mail or Thunderbird, irks me. I want to stay on the browser.

So I tried to configure Gmail fetcher to fetch my AOL mails, thinking it would work. To my surprise, it did. It fetched all the e-mails from my AOL account. I labeled them with nice dark green "AOL Mail" label. Does that mean, AOL has a free POP service? or Gmail has a secret IMAP fetcher? I don't know if you guys tried it but its worth it.

All you have to do is to add an account. A dialog box appears, give your e-mail id and other credentials. Don't change any port number or anything. Keep them default. Thats it. Fetching of e-mails might take a long time, depending on the number of AOL mails you have. Be patient!!
